Welcome to A Mother Culture!
I’m Cassia Mange—a wife, mother of three, homemaker, and writer passionate about faith, motherhood, and creating a home filled with love, beauty, and purpose.
I grew up in Brazil, where life was simple and deeply connected to nature. My childhood was filled with the kind of joys that shaped who I am today:
- Running barefoot under the warm sunshine.
- Climbing trees and swimming in clear rivers.
- Growing our own food and savoring homemade meals shared around the table.
These experiences instilled in me a love for traditional living and the beauty of a slow, intentional life. Today, those lessons inspire how I create a warm and faith-filled home for my family.
In 2017, I moved to the United States, married my wonderful husband in 2018, and together we’re raising our three little ones in a bilingual household. Our days are rooted in faith, love, and finding joy in the everyday moments.
My Passion for Homemaking
Laura Ingalls Wilder captured my heart for homemaking perfectly when she wrote:
“Just as a little thread of gold, running through a fabric, brightens the whole garment, so women’s work at home, while only the doing of little things, is just like the golden gleam of sunlight that runs through and brightens the whole fabric of civilization.”
For me, homemaking is more than just chores—it’s about nurturing hearts, cultivating a haven of peace and love, and glorifying God through the smallest acts of service. Every small, unseen task—whether kneading bread, sweeping the floor, or hanging fresh linens in the sun—becomes an act of worship and grace.

I owe so much to the heritage of skills passed down by my mom and grandmothers in Brazil. They taught me the art of sourdough baking, fermenting nourishing foods, and caring for a household with devotion and purpose. Along the way, I’ve embraced new skills like painting, embroidering, and sewing, all of which bring beauty and creativity into my home.
